Still here. Still ranking.

Another marketing guru Search visibility
from the trenches

I've been studying SEO for over twenty years and I'm still learning every day. I help independent cannabis operators build organic visibility while everyone else burns money chasing social media algorithms on platforms they don't own and get DELETED from. So they start over, invest more time and money, and get wiped out all over AGAIN.

The Backstory

Survived dial-up.
Survived Google
updates. Still
standing.

Born and raised in BC. Got laid off from an electronics tech career in 2002 with a young family to feed. Did what I had to do to survive. Found the underground, found grow friends, found the internet, found SEO. Founded the first ever MOC (Mail Order Clones) in 2006. Built sites, grew plants, learned how to rank in industries where you couldn't buy a single ad. Twenty-five years later I'm still doing this. Funny how the "risky" path turned out to be the durable one.

Watched an entire industry get regulated out from under the people who built it. Now I help independent operators build the kind of search visibility that stock market corporate chains can throw money at and still not replicate. The agency is Extracted Marketing. This is where I say what I actually think.

Years in Restricted Industries
When you can't buy ads, you figure out how to earn attention. Or you disappear. I figured it out.

What I Actually Talk About
01
Local SEO
GBP, local pack, citations, map visibility. The boring stuff that puts people in your store. Nobody wants to talk about it. I do.
02
Semantic SEO
Entity mapping, topical authority, content architecture. Teaching Google what your site is about so it stops guessing wrong.
03
E-com SEO
Product pages, category pages, schema, title frameworks. Your online menu is a search engine. Most operators treat it like a PDF.
04
Email Retention
Welcome flows, post-purchase, re-engagement. Building a customer list you own because Instagram could delete your account tomorrow and probably will.
05
Content Strategy
Topical maps, content briefs, internal linking. Not "content marketing" where you publish a blog and pray. Actual architecture.
06
Independent Retail
Playbooks for stores competing against chains with 10x the budget and one-tenth the soul. You've already got the advantage. You just don't see it yet.

#046 Your GBP category is wrong. Here's what to change it to before someone else figures this out.
#045 Schema markup that works while you sleep. Your competitors will catch on eventually. Not yet though.
"Most consultants hand you a PDF and vanish. Chris hands you the one thing that matters, shows you where to put it, and it's already working by the time his next email lands."
